Python Scripting in ArcGIS
Python toolboxes are geoprocessing toolboxes that are created entirely in Python. A Python toolbox and the tools contained within look, act, and work just like toolboxes and tools created in any other way. I design toolboxes using ArcPy to automate processes in ArcGIS.
GTFS tools for ArcGIS
Uses GTFS public transit data to show areas you can reach with public transport in a given time. The abundant access is the first in series of tools I am developing for ArcGIS to analyse the GTFS data. Simplicity is the main objective here, therefore all the analysis will be done in-fly. The term "abundant access" is borrowed from Jarrett Walker's book, Human transit. You can use the abundant access to perform transit/pedestrian accessibility analyses, controlling for a number of transfers, walking between transfers, walking to transit and walking from transit. My aim is to develop a method that is useful for practitioners and decision-makers to make day-to-day decisions.
